Pits, Peaks, and Points – Greece Edition

 

Cindy:

Pits: Lots of goat/sheep cheese which I don't like. If this is my only pit,  life is good. Never saw a beautiful sunset due to clouds, not for lack of trying.

Peaks: Loved Kamari vibes, pretty sunrise and lunch at Ammoudi Bay.  

Points: rent a car, taxis are expensive, stay in Kamari, very safe, pack flats/no heels, make a reservation months in advance to watch the sunset at PK's, you pick your actual seat at time of reservation. Some beach clubs charge $100 and others are free, just ask when you go in. It does seem like you get what you pay for like towels and drinks included.  Definitely stay in Kamari! 80 Degrees and not so many people. Come here in September!

Pits: Oia skip it, can't imagine in during the busy summer months. Should have stayed in Imervigli at one of the places with a pool overlooking the caldera.

Peaks: Hike to Oia

Points: Stay in Kamari, bus schedule is unreliable, be patient,  Imervigli is spectacular
