About Us

Hi, thanks for checking in on our journeys. We are a family of four ranging from 11 to 50.  We have busy days with work, sports, school, travel and adventure.  I thought a blog would be a fun way to document our trips so our family can look back on our adventures together. We hope family, friends and you enjoy it too.

Andy and I met in 1996.  We both grew up traveling and it was a part of us.  The ritual soon began of grabbing the Sunday paper at breakfast and looking to see where the cheapest airfare would take us to.  Then there was the natural step of going to Barnes and Noble and exploring all of their travel books on that country.  It was fun to think about, talk about, plan and go!

 Then marriage came and kids.  We were on a bare boat charter in the British Virgin Islands when I was 3 month pregnant with our daughter, Saylor.  She already grew into her name at that point and supported me with no morning sickness.   That was the last international travel we would take for awhile.

Our son Hudson came and life was very busy for the first couple of years, but then we couldn't ignore our desire to see the world and to show our kids the world outside of the Pacific Northwest.  Off to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for their first real international trip. Between the mariachi band, tropical smoothies and warm water they were hooked! We are officially a traveling family!
