Punta de Mita, Mexico - Feliz Navidad!

Felize Navidad!

December 25, 2021

First morning of sleeping in on the trip so far.....LOVED IT! Woke up in the early morning and saw the sun rising out the east side of the house. Normally don't see a sunrise based on our house location and the simple fact that I'm not a morning girl. Then went right back to bed.

Relaxed for the day on the patio.  We were fortunate enough to see a couple of whales.  Hudson and Andy went to pick up our chef in Sayulita.  She is making us Christmas dinner.  She said she needed five hours to prepare.  Can't wait to see what come out of the kitchen!

A family trip down to the beach.  Andy and Hudson went went body surfing.

Birds were fishing for dinner and swarming over us.  One dropped and fish and Hudson went to save it's life.

Rest of the day was pretty chill.

Six hours later and it was time to feast!

Appetizers: Shrimp empanadas and Agua Chile de Cameron & Chips/Salsa/Guacamole

Entre: pork carnitas and chicken mole

Dessert: Cocoa mouse

She used the special soap on the vegetables (although I thought I saw her wash the tomatoes under the sink water) and now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it worked!

There seemed to be a sauce for everything and it was all so good! We have left overs for the next 3 days I think.

If you ever want to hire a private chef, check out Carmen on Whatapp at +52 322 147 8722. She is based out of Sayulita.

My tip would be to hire a helper if you can. I think she used every pot, pan and dish in the place and Andy washed them all!

Here is our place - shot from the beach.
