Taking the Next Step

 Off to REI this morning to get some shoes for all of us for the trip.  Taking the next step..ha, ha.  :-)

What we are looking for:

• Something that works well in warm weather
• Something that works in cold weather/rain/snow/ice
• Comfortable
• Something that doesn't target us as Americans

Thanks to all the shoe options we found them and a couple wish list items!

Now What?

Time to come up with a plan.  The things we thought about as we started to plan: 

Where do we want to go?

Somewhere we haven't been before. 

Is it safe according to the State Department’s site?

What logistically makes sense?

What will the weather be like? 

And for the kids...do we need more vaccines? A high priority for the kids. :-)  

After many negotiations we had a plan!

We have been talking about this for years. Where would we go? What would we do? How long would we be gone?   A trip around the world to celebrate our 50^th birthdays! Something fun to always dream about, but who knew if it would really ever happen.
